Yep!  We don’t need to call our relatives abroad, or order via the internet, for us to experience the global running shoe brand that’s been raving for over a century now (yep! I just learned about their age last Friday).

Saucony was established in 1898 on the high banks of the Saucony Creek in Kutztown, Pennsylvania (so that’s how they got their name).  Their logo represents Saucony Creek’s constant flow, with the three boulders lining the creek.

I confess that since I got hold of my first Saucony in May 2011, the Kinvara, I was converted and delighted with the feel of running strong.  With much trust and confidence, I preferred the Kinvara as my tool for my tempo and fartleks. It’s 4mm heel-to-toe drop propels and encourages me to land mid-foot.  Its breathable and light materials felt like I’m running almost barefoot, but with the right amount of cushioning.  No wonder the Kinvara won the “Best Debut” award from Runner’s World.

Sharing to you their description from their Facebook page:

At Saucony, a good day is when we get to run. A great day is when we inspire someone else to run.

MISSION: At Saucony, we exist for runners. Runners inspire us, bring us new ideas, force us to be better. They drive our design and engineering. They keep us competitive. They keep us hungry. They keep us honest.

Whether it’s in a conference room or out on a lunchtime run, we’re constantly talking about and arguing about our sport, runners and the products that fuel them. We love our products and we run in everything we make.

This focus and passion fuels us as we strive to create the best running shoes and apparel on the planet. We leave work each day knowing we’ve done everything to make runners’ lives just a little bit better.

We all share a common love of running. A common pride in personal bests. A common disdain for potholes and cramping. A common interest in other runners. Welcome, runners all.
