665 boys and girls aged 10 to 14  years old arrived yesterday, February 20, 2016 to participate in the Regional Selection Camp of the Jr NBA / Jr WNBA Philippines presented by Alaska in Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The kids went through various tests to measure their wingspan, upper body strenght (push-up), agility, and vertical leap.  After the measurements, they go through various stations to test their skills in dribbling, passing, footwork, lay-up, and shooting.


Top 40 boys and top 24 girls advanced to return today, February 21, and were grouped into teams to play scrimmages.

Six (6) boys and two (2) girls finally made the cut to proceed to the National Training Camp in Manila on April 22-24. Here are their names: Treena Areola (F), Jan Zyrus De Ayre, Rae Jemima Camba (F), Ric Ozner Gatuz, Emmanuel Macaranas, Vincent Madiwo, Serge Quitaleg, and Wrench Mason Roquid.
