Kai Zachary Sotto of Manila and Florence Jil Talas of Cebu were crowned Jr.NBA Most Valuable Player and Jr.WNBA Most Valuable Player for the year 2016.

They were selected together with nine (9) other boys and four (4) other girls to be part of Jr.NBA and Jr.WNBA All-Stars Philippines, after the National Training Camp which was held last April 22 to 24 in Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati and Mall of Asia in Pasay City.


The National Training Camp was graced by Norris Cole – currently playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, and WNBA Legend Taj McWilliams-Franklin. It was participated by the top boys and girls from the Regional Selection Camps in Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Manila.

Here are the names of Jr.NBA All-Stars Philippines 2016: Julian Alfonso Jugo (Manila), Fritz Felix Valencia (Cebu), Harold Alarcon (Cebu), Isaiah Miguel Blanco (Manila), Ric Ozner Gatuz (Baguio), Andrei Philip Lechoncito (Manila), Tracy Carl Dadang (Cebu), Jearico Nunez (Manila), Miguel Rey Luis Tan (Manila), and Kai Zachary Sotto (Manila).

Here are the names of the Jr.WNBA All-Stars Philippines 2016: Darliene Regasajo (Cebu), Ma Cecilia Quilenderino (Manila), Rozie Amatong (Davao), Aloha Marie Betanio (Davao), and Florence Jil Talas (Cebu).

Chollo Elegino of Davao and Arayi Ewon of Manila won the Male and Female Coach of the Year.
